Bitcoin SV price moons, what is going on?
Bitcoin SV just exploded upwards and I didn’t see that coming, at least not in under an hour.
So what is going on with this price surge? Calvin Ayres website coingeek released a press statement a few hours ago you can read the full article here.
They say:
Craig S. Wright has been granted U.S. copyright registrations for the famed original Bitcoin whitepaper and most of the original Bitcoin code (version 0.1). Importantly, the registrations issued by the U.S. Copyright Office recognize Wright as the author – under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto – of both the white paper and code. This is the first government agency recognition of Craig Wright as Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of Bitcoin. In addition to being Bitcoin’s creator, Wright is currently Chief Scientist of nChain, the global leader in advisory, research and development of blockchain technologies, which focuses on massive adoption of Bitcoin in the form of Bitcoin SV (Satoshi Vision).
Ayre has also tweeted that he was hoping to have significant proof of Wright being Satoshi by Tuesday the 21st.
I am not a copyright lawyer and it is unclear to me what exactly a copyright registration is in terms of a court ruling that Craig Wright is the author of the white paper and code. I will cover this in more detail tomorrow but clearly, the courts are going to play a big part of the SV story this year and into the future.
With Wright taking out defamation claims against people calling him a fraud and his legal proceedings with regards to David Kleinman’s family estate claims, he has a busy time ahead.
I follow Bitcoin SV closely and have written on their hardfork and made videos on the topic of the Satoshi claims. I think we will see a lot of action this year from Bitcoin SV. It is a well funded and supported community. It is also a community attacked by many in the Crypto space. The fact Wright claims to be Satoshi does not sit well with many and passions run high on the topic.

Craig Wright’s sister, Lisa Edwards, who is also a cryptocurrency trader, tweeted today that the “chart shows potential for another 145% increase” in the Bitcoin SV price!
