Changelly Crypto-to-Crypto Transactions
Changelly is a simple and easy to use Payment Gateway, started in 2013. Changelly allows customers to quickly process cash-to-crypto and crypto-to-crypto transactions through its website service. Credit and debit cards are welcome, there are 12 languages to choose from and the sign-up process couldn’t be easier. Cash payments can be processed in EUR or USD but cards from around the world are accepted through a currency exchange-rate.
Ease of use
Sign up with your email, verify your email address, add 2FA to your account for security and you’re ready to go. Since this is a simple payment service, there’s nothing complex and it couldn’t be any easier. Simply log in, choose the amount you want to buy – whether it be, how many dollars you want to spend or how many Bitcoin etc. you want to receive – add your Bitcoin wallet address for your coins and you’re pretty much done.
Changelly Fees
Fee’s are set at 5% for Credit/Debit Card transactions, which is pretty steep. Cryptocurrency to Cryptocurrency has only a 0.5% fee. Beware though, less popular coins have diverse prices so check your exchange rate before you click buy.
Changelly Support
Support is handled through a support ticket system on the website. User-experience is generally good, and it appears that Changelly, when faced with a problem voiced by their customers, is very good at resolving customer issues. Most customers issues are from user-error and so Changelly stepping up and fixing complaints is obviously a part of their business model. One issue customers do seem to face is delayed waiting times on resolution, however, they do show up with the goods even if it does take a bit of time.
Limits
Changelly recently increased their buying limits so new customers can buy up to a maximum of $10,000 on their first purchase. No extra verification is required like proof of address or passport details, so open up an account and you’ve got plenty to play with straight away.
Changelly Reputation
Changelly seems to have a good reputation. You can’t store your coins on the website, so there’s nothing to be hacked on their side. For less popular coins, there have been a number of complaints about the spread and big differences between quotes and actually received. Nevertheless, buying liquid coins like Bitcoin don’t have the same issues. Overall, they have a good reputation for being fast and easy to use.
Security
Since you can’t hold coins on the exchange – you have to provide your own wallet address when you buy coins on Changelly – there’s nothing to hack. All card payments are dealt with in a traditional banking manner and your account is simply a platform where you provide payment for coins to be sent somewhere else. You can and should protect your account with a secure password and 2FA verification, simply meaning your account and card details are protected. Changelly is idiot proof and super-simple.
