Announcing: Battlestar Galactica- themed Blockchain game

“Project Saturn” unveiled as Battlestar Galactica at Galaverse!

Last week we weren’t yet ready to share a lot of details about “Project Saturn” when we first proposed the game to the community. After an AMA featuring the developers from Revolving Games, Founder’s Node operators saw the amazing potential in this 4X Strategy MMO game and accepted it into the Gala Games Ecosystem.

We are ready to reveal …

“Project Saturn” is in fact a Battlestar Galactica-themed blockchain game! The game is planned to take place within the world of the legendary re-imagined series which aired for four seasons from 2003–2004 on Syfy. All the features and systems that we originally presented as “Project Saturn” are actually planned for this Battlestar Galactica game, being developed by Revolving Games in collaboration with Gala Games and Universal Games and Digital Platforms.

Epic 4X Strategy MMO in Battlestar Galactica

REBUILD — In the Battlestar Galactica game, each season will commence with a new iteration of a surprise Cylon attack, leaving the Twelve Colonies in ruins. You will play as a human survivor and spawn your base near one of the remaining colonies. You will need to regain territory and resources to rebuild and withstand the incoming Cylon attacks.

REUNITE — As your territory grows and expands, new threats will begin to emerge. Cooperation and social connections will be key during this phase to recapture and rebuild the technology necessary to withstand the assaults. You’ll need to form alliances and coordinate tactics to defeat entrenched enemies and overcome the Cylons.

RECLAIM — Once reunited, you will be able to work with alliances on coordinating large scale attacks on strategic Cylon targets to fulfill seasonal goals. Alliance and individual leaderboards will indicate how successful humanity was at suppressing the Cylon onslaught. All your achievements throughout the season will contribute to how well you can withstand the threat from the attacking Cylons.

The Universe You Love

The gameplay from the Battlestar Galactica blockchain game will happen in the same universe as the re-imagined series, roughly 40 years after the First Cylon War. Each Cylon attack that initiates the start of a new season will create a slightly different set of circumstances that survivors will need to adapt to and plan accordingly.

Each colony will have its own levels of governance, technology and militarism. These alliances will need to actively coordinate and strategize to decide the outcome of each season.

The time is coming when you’ll have to think tactically to protect the human race from the Cylon incursion. Rebuild your fleet, reunite your faction, and reclaim the Twelve Colonies.
