Browse the official Gala NFT secondary market collections on OpenSea for the full Web3 experience
An entire world of Web3 games powered by reward-based economies and player ownership is coming together before your eyes.
With so many great games in development or nearing release, Gala is overjoyed to see our vision of player empowerment becoming a reality.
Ownership Means Trade
The ability to trade your assets as you wish on a secondary market lives at the heart of Gala’s Web3 mission. By trading your gaming assets, you’ll experience a new level of freedom in gaming, and with all the excellent Gala Games on the horizon, you’ll want every bit of that freedom you can get.
In the Web3 world, the freedom to trade means that you can spend your money with less of a commitment. When there is an active peer-to-peer market available and owners are encouraged to use it, taking that first leap into NFT ownership becomes much easier.
Gala needed to give you an easy way to exercise your Web3 right to list and purchase items as often as you’d like on a robust secondary market. That’s where OpenSea comes in.
Over the years we have established a strong professional relationship with the world’s leading peer-to-peer marketplace for digital assets. As we have always said, we are a games first company. In the interest of focusing on what we do best, we have teamed up with OpenSea for all our official Gala Games secondary market collections.
Working with OpenSea in this way is the best of both worlds. Web3 is all about interoperability; the easier and more seamless the experience becomes for users, the more we will all grow and thrive together.
OpenSea is the absolute leader when it comes to digital asset p2p markets, so it is the location we have chosen to host our official secondary market collections.

Those who would like to trade digital assets actively and directly from their Gala Games wallet can do so by importing their Gala wallet into a Metamask wallet. Then instead of transferring assets to a market account, owners can use Metamask to list directly from (or purchase directly to) their Gala wallet.
This is done using either your Private Key or 12-Word Account Recovery Phrase by following one of the simple guides below.
Importing to Metamask using Word Phrase
Importing to Metamask using Private Keys
The ability to use the most trusted Web3 wallet in the world to buy and sell with your Gala account on the most trusted peer-to-peer marketplace in the world is only a glimpse of the future’s interoperability.

Some of you are probably familiar with Sword Art Online, for those who are not, it’s a popular Japanese Anime released in 2012, the story is simple, In a near future there is a popular VRMMORPG (Virtual reality Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) called Sword art Online, players have to wear a VR headset to participate in the game. In that Universe all players are trapped in the game until they solve the game main quest, which is beating all 100 floors of Aincrad Tower, anyone who dies In-game will die in real life. Of course, that is not what I want for the future of video games and not why I’m comparing SAO to the future of MMORPG.
What interest me here is the exclusivity of achievements in the Anime series, the fact that some items, skills, and achievements can be exclusives to some players is to me really exciting, and with the democratization of blockchain and NFT I think this is finally possible.
There is a category of players who love achievements, for example speedruning is a recognized discipline in the gaming space where players try to beat a game the fastest way possible. Every time a new expansion is released in World of Warcraft, all the best guilds around the world start a race to be the first to beat a new Raid and this applies for all MMORPGs. E-Sports is a billion-dollar industry and is expected to keep growing.
Therefore, I’d like to share few new mechanics that I think will appear in the MMORPG genre in the next few years, which could give it a new life.
For this article I will list and explain three key features that I think would make the MMORPG genre more fun, or at least give the most competitive players a stronger motivation to keep playing. Those features are Achievements as NFT, Legendary or Unique skills as NFT or SBT and “Historical” Items as NFT.
Achievements as NFT, has not been done yet but seems inevitable, retributing a person or a group of people for their achievements with a NFT that proves their amazing accomplishment makes sense a lot of sense. Similar with a real-world trophy like a cup or a medal, then the person earning that trophy could keep it forever as a satisfaction or sell to a collector or a fan and depending on how prestigious the achievement was or how famous the player or guild achieving the performance were, that NFT could be valued at a very expensive price.
In Sword Art Online Kirito is the only player capable of using Dual Blades, a special skill that allow the users to use two swords with unique skills that none other of the Dual Blades owner can use. This special ability is given to the player with the fastest reaction time. We can imagine a future where certain types of MMORPG will give players unique skills and items depending on their playstyle, those could be unlocked as NFT or SBT(if the team doesn’t want to monetize these type of features). This could increase the uniqueness of each player, will bring more diverse playstyle and build. Such a system will push players to experience new things, will make builds unpredictable and therefore bring so many new gaming experience in a genre where players could just search online the most optimal build and just apply it to them, making them just a copy paste of a thousands of players.
Many people know Leeroy Jenkins, he is so famous that he was made canon as part of the Warcraft franchise by Blizzard. He has for example his own legendary card in Hearthstone. If Leeroy Jenkins” Items during that “Leeeeroyyyy Jennkinsss” moment were NFT, how much those would be worth to a collector today? Or Let’s say the gear used to beat the World First last boss of the last extension of [insert name] MMORPG. Similar to the real world, when the jersey of one of the most famous football player win the world cup and sell his jersey in an auction. Those “historical” pieces NFT could be sold by the game developer and/or the player, for either adding funds to the game company for keeping developing the game or their new game, as well as give a part or 100% of the revenue to a charity.
