#01 – UNDERSTANDING BLOCKCHAIN
Blockchain has been in the limelight for quite some time now, so just what is Blockchain? Essentially, it is a digital ledger of transactions that can record anything of value and here’s the revolutionary part: it can never fail, which means hacking will not be applicable in the institution of blockchain. Learn how this works, and why blockchain has been the talk of the town in recent times.
#02 – DECENTRALISED VS. CENTRALISED
What is centralised and what is decentralised? Decentralisation is the design of a network that does not require a central figure but instead utilises peer-to-peer interaction to drive the network. We will explore how blockchain fits into the scheme of decentralised networking, and the pros and cons of each network system.
#03 – PRACTICALITY OF BLOCKCHAIN
There is a lot of hype about Blockchain, but some promising uses are often side-glanced; Banking, Supply Chain, Healthcare, Voting, Property Records, Education etc. We will be looking at how blockchain can help all these industries and more to be more efficient as a whole, and how the adoption of blockchain will bring convenience to our daily lives.
#04 – THE BLOCKCHAIN ECONOMY
The blockchain economy is a scenario and potential future environment in which cryptocurrency replaces monetary systems, potentially on a global basis. This has profound implications for the future of banking and value exchange as peer-to-peer transactions on a blockchain does not require the help of an intermediary (e.g. a
banking institution), which lowers the cost of a transaction.
