In this video we discuss the twitter hack and talk through who may have been behind the attack. I’m joined by Dunstan, a Bitcoin OG with over a decade in the space and by Stefano Colovan the CEO of Korporatio.
Twitter Hack – the suspects
Social media is in a frenzy with a wide range of suspects being put forward. From State level actors to Bitcoin companies conspiracies to a lone wolf going by the name of Kirk, speculation is swirling.
I personally think it is a lone wolf attack but no doubt given the profiles of who was hacked this will create much attention and debate. We will follow the story as it develops. Facts so far are that 150 accounts of high profile people were hacked and messages were posted saying they would give away Bitcoin. All you have to do is send an amount to the listed address and then double the amount would be sent back. 400 people fell for the scam.
It is interesting to note that a similar scam has been running as a ad on youtube for a number of weeks but has yet to be taken down. We are of course assuming that the youtube ad is in fact a scam and you wont get double your crypto back after sending it to the listed address. Please let us know if we are wrong!
